I'm currently 16 weeks out from my first figure comp. Right now, I'm only taking whey and creatine (the kind with tons of dextrose). I know I should take in a slower digesting protein before bed, like casein. I don't like cottage cheese and I only have whey right now, so I've been having whey with natty PB and skim milk before bed. I've read a lot about glutamine, ZMA, and BCAA's. What should I be taking? If I need all of this, I can't buy them all at once. What order would you say to get them in? What do I need right now?
Casein protein
Glutamine
Creatine (without the dextrose)
ZMA
BCAA
If you're taking whey/casein and have good food sources of protein you won't need glutamine. ZMA is a waste of time unless you're having sleep issues. As you reduce your calories closer to the comp BCAAs may have a muscle sparing effect, take about 15-20g per day.
Well, I rather like ZMA... But, thats me, IT GIVES YOU GNARLEY DREAMS, and improves your sleep, which I have issues with, thank you gococks... lol
LOL!!! Im gonna do a field test now, to see if this is cocaine... *SNOOOOORT* YEP!!! Its real...
