mega whey protein i think is 60g per serving. its expensive tho. for starters take a 60g serving right after you lift with sum form of carbohydrate as well. I dont know what to expect, im thinking if your so new to weight lifting that you dont know what to expect from a protein shake then you probly dont get enough protein in your diet... do you know how much protein you get in your diet? if you dont, then first figure how much you want, then see how you can fit it in. this is probly going to call for a protein shake here and there throughout the day. so aside from post workout, i drink some with snacks. if you dont have very much in your diet now, then you should expect some muscle gain as a result of getting some in your diet.

okay dude you need to spend some time in the diet, and training sub forum, thats gonna get you to where you want to be. you can run searches for beginners routines, you need to work more then your upper body or its gonna mess you up.
since you dont have a set diet i suggest you get one, start by eating at a maintinance level of calories and then work your way up on a nice, long, clean bulk.
If you are only eating 3 meals a day, focus more on fixing your diet. Supplements won't do anything for you if your diet is off. You need to eat at least 5 times/day, IMO.
