U Will Die? I Did!!
Will creatine harm my liver/kidneys/anything if i take 5 grams of it every single day of the year? Also i heard that the body can stop producing it's own. Any truth?

I love vegetarians, they're a great source of lean protien!

A recent study at the Brigham Young University indicated that subjects consuming 5g of creatine a day for 2 years will suddenly die sometime.

Yeah, seriously though, defenitely no. Creatine has been researched more than probably all the other supplements combined. Ive yet to ever come across any negative info.Originally Posted by soxmuscle
i was part of that study, the only reason i survived is that i stopped after only a year and a half. i guess i wasnt dedicated enough. ive heard of down regulation of ones own creatine production as well, everything ive read says it comes back when you stop taking external sources though. its not like steroids where you could get permanetly shut down if you do it wrongOriginally Posted by njc

Only downfall is that you hold water, causing a small increase in BP.Originally Posted by njc
I suppose if you are taking your 5 grams daily with a 5th of scotch then, yea.... your liver will suffer harsh consequences.
Other than that, no problemo

all of you guys act like you can run creatine constantly year after year and you'll be totally fine, don't forget there are no studies on long term creatine use, or the long term effects of creatine use... personally i cycle creatine for a maximum of 2 months at a time, and then take a few months off
Nobody has a god damn definitive answer...i'm gonna cycle this shit like my man D here.
