    ALA During Refeed?

    How much ALA would you guys recommend for a 2-4 hour refeed?
    Stats!
    23 years old, 5'11.5", 206 lbs., ~8% bodyfat

    380/455/655 bench/squat/deadlift (current)
    405/495/675 bench/squat/deadlift (goals)

    ALA 4-500mg R-ALA half that.

    Damn, thats lower than I thought. I thought people were taking 1,200-1,500mg during refeeds.

    I was saying one meal.. I would stick to 600mg a day normally(through out the day). I should have been more specific, sorry.

    ALA is alpha lipoic acid, and it helps glycogen uptake. Taking it on a refeed will help replenish muscle glycogen at a greater rate, than without. However ALA is inferior to R-ALA because you only want the R isomer not the S.
