Excellent site.. newbee to lifting and have a few ?

    Hi..

I am 39 years old and have had 3 back surgeries within the past 12 years..

I am 5"8 and 232 I really would love to drop to atleat 200 or so and build muscle

I walk 3 miles a day and work out on machine/free weights for 1 hour 3 times a week. I also ride 10 miles a day on my bike on saturdays and sundays.. I avoid squats due to my back.. but lifting so far hasn't bothered it except some soreness.

I just started doing 4-6 small meals a day (fish beef) hoping my metabolism will pick up because I haven't lost a pound in 12 days. Maybe it's because I am gaining muscle weight?

    Supplements I am using

    All the whey Mint chocolate/strawberry
    Cell tech
    Redline VPX
    Multi vitiam

What other suggestions on supplements/books would you suggest.

I see that you suggest Maximum Pump.. what effects will it help for a newbee?

Well, if your question is how come I'm not losing weight, then you need to post your diet. If you just want to know a good weight-loss supp, then ephedrine-hcl at bulknutrition.com

if your trying to cut weight, drop the cell tech. It's got 76g's of sugar per serving, plus it's to expensive

    bludevil,

thanks for the response. I purchased Redline by VPX 48 servings 240cc and it really fired me up and had a hell of a workout for the first time. I will look into ephedrine-hcl.. but I would like to know if this Maximum Pump supplement is the bomb and would it help me as a newbee??????

I have increased my bench by 35 lbs in 3 weeks that's doing 10 reps 3 times each workout.. so I assume the creatine is working and if I read correctly Maximum Pump should also work.

I'm not one that will go to GNC and buy a bill of goods.. and I know it's going to take a lot of hard work to get where I want.. I just want to get the correct supplements that will help me get there.
