I stumbled upon this, creatine use.....

This really works for me. I urge you to give it a try for a month or so and see if it works for you too. I sort of just stumbled onto this and noticed that it seems to work just as well as taking creatine all the time. Here's what happened:
I used to take creatine (I used Cell Tech, though I would imagine any brand would work as long as that particular brand has shown you results) according to the directions. It helped my workouts, but left me a little un-cut and it seemed like a lot of Creatine to consume daily.
After taking it religiously for a few months, I stopped for a month, Then I bought another container, but only seemed to remember to take it before a workout, which was about 3 times a week. And you know what? Taking it before my workout, and ONLY before my workout, seemed to give me all the benefits! And I was only using HALF a scoop full! Half! MY workouts were more intense and I felt stronger than when I wasn't taking any creatine at all, and I would say they (my workouts) were at least equivalent as to when I was taking it twice a day, every day.
    SO what were the benefits?
    1) I felt stronger during my workout.
    2) I didn't seem to retain as much water, nor lose my "cuts" (though I'm not incredibly ripped or anything, I didn't lose what definition I had) as I did when taking creatine every day.
    3) My creatine lasts much longer! By only using half a scoop before a workout, 3 times a week, a large container of Creatine would last months. Big $$ savings.

Has anyone else ever noticed or tried this? If not, I urge you to try it just for one month. I'm sure the supplement companies will hate me, since they want you to use up what you buy fast so you buy more, but this really works for me. I have been doing it for almost a month, and I am finally starting to break through some plateus that had me stumped. Give it a try....what have you got to lose? And look what you can save!
My theory is that only taking the creatine before a workout (I start drinking it about 15 min before my workout, and actually finish the large glass of water halfway through my workout...I use alot of water and half a scoop mixed in) keeps your system from becoming to used to the pump creatine can give you. This way you feel that pump only before a workout (when you need it) and not all day, every day. Just my theory.
PS. I do also take a protein shake every day with breakfast, and sometimes after a workout if my dinner is lacking in the protein dept. Those are the only supps I take.
Give it a shot and Good luck!

nahhhh.....I been liftin for 5 years....I know when somethin is working and when it isn't. I hear what you're saying, that it could just be that I "think" I have more energy and so I lift better, but no, it definitely works. Give it a shot and you'll see what I mean.

most creatine bottles say take before because its suposed to give you bigger pumps, but science has been saying to take it after, i do 5g before 5g after so its a win win situation. Science has also been saying that a whey protien shake before a workout is benifitial, who knows.

of course eating pre-workout is benefitial lol, getting the required amino acids and preventing your body from using your muscles as energy, scienctists rule!
