    Tasty casein proteins

I got my ON casein protein (chocolate) about a week ago and I've been taking that every night before I go to bed but the stuff is damn disgusting when mixed with water. I almost hurled...and did gag the first few types I chugged it. The problem is some of it gets chunky and doesn't mix. Tonight I'm going to throw in a strawberry or two with it in a blender and see if that makes it any better.

What other brands of casein protein are more easy to drink? Or have I just been spoiled by the deliciousness of ON's 100% whey protein (double rich chocolate)?

I would mix the 2 of them using 60% caesin and 40% whey

I would never use a caesin protein supplement by itself just for that reason. milk protein isolates would be a much better powder to use for that. if you are going to use caesin you have to blend it with other protein powders and/or juice, milk, etc.

I just blended it with one frozen strawberry and that took the bite out of it a little bit but not by much. Although it did completely blend it; I'd gag before when I swallowed globs of the casein that hadn't mixed.

I'll try some other ingredients tomorrow night and report back.

The problem I have with pure MPI is that it's a real bitch to mix, you have to use an electric hand blender. I'm currently using a 50/50 blend of calcium caseinate and egg white protein - it tastes okay (not great though).
