    calcium

    how much calcium should i take ....if i want strong bones...i am 21 yrs old...(daily requiremnets...)

    Yeah... I agree with the others... just have some milk. I think orange juice has a lot of calcium too.

    do all orange juice brands have calcium in them or just the ones that say they have calcium

    Milk will give you some Ca, but it will give you plenty more lactate that will decrease your body's alkalinity.

    Ca in shark cartilage is a good source (1gm per 5kg of body weight, spread over a day); it offers 99% absorption. Ca oxide, as found in many Ca vitamins has a much lower absorbtion level in the body, and Ca carbonate has the lowest (~2%). Ca carbonate is available in TUMS like products.

    There really is no maximum, since the body is continuously using it up, but not as fast as it is discarding it.
