    What else should i use?

Ok here is my plan. I want to loose fat and build up muscle.I will be signing up at a gym tomorrow and have been looking at alot of different supliments and want to know what else i should take. Also i think i will be doing the HST 10 rep routine for my workout unless any of you have a better suggestion for me.here are my stats as of now

    26 years old
    185lbs.
    5'11"
    I have already lost 10-15lbs

A goal that i think is reasonable is to hit a lean weight of 200 pounds right now one product i think that i would like to try and have heard many others preach about is Muscle Juice.now since this conatins quite a bit of proteins does this mean i dont need to also buy a whey or anything? Also i am wondering what is a realy good creatine to take..i have some weiders that i get from wal-mart but im sure there is better right? I am kinda new to all of this and only can/do eat 2 meals a day, so what else should i be doing/taking to help me acheive my goal?
Thanx alot guys/gals keep up the great work

I don't know about Muscle juice specifically but I would drink one protein shake per day as a meal after a work out. A good protein drink will have lot's of protein, lots of vitamins and minerals, glutamine (usually in low quantities though - you may want to add more), low fat, and some carbs.

Personally, I drink a Met-RX protein shake as my breakfast right after my workout. It's worked out great for me. I have lost a lot of weight and am starting to gain some muscle.

Met-Rx has 250 cals (powder) + 100 cals (milk) + 150 cal (I add a half cup of quick oats) = 500 calories of stuff that's good for you.

    Forget supplementation right now.

Concentrate on whole food sources. Add a whey protein to your diet, but dont rely specifically on it. Use it once in the morning with the OLD FASHIONED OATS-not the quick oats, as well as after your workout with some high index carbs (malto, white instant rice or white (Wonder) bread.
Once a week do a cheat meal and enjoy it. Nix the crappy junk food (cake, cookies, chips) and eat more greens with each meal.

Couple this with some HIIT cardio and a good weight workout and you'll be pulling a six in no time.

okfrom what i stand by is you can't gain muscle and try to burn off fat at the same time. it just doesn't go hand in hand. if you try bulking up while running a diet plan together your just gonna burn off more muscle than your trying to put on. if you wanna hit 200lbs. with six pack first start with your weight lifting program first. run on it for a good while and see how much you have progress you have made and then decide if you wanna continue or go on your dite phase. for the bulking part get yourself some celltec from a local gnc. take it once a day plus your small meals and protine drinks. for a good gain try to take in 2x your body weight in protine with the celltec. as for protine drinks go with the abb extreme 50. hit all that up with some high quality foods with good amount of protine and in about 8months to a year you should see some serious improvements
Every time I step into the gym I know I'll walk out a little stronger.

Well i just got back from doing paperwork at the gym (Lifetime Fitness) and i think im going to start on monday. As far as my lifestyle now maybe ill post up the info to beter help me.I have read all of your posts thanx alot for all the replies and info.As im sure all of you have guessed i am new to this workout stuff so i wana make sure i get on the right track.
As of now my day to day routine is this. I work M-Th 630am-5pm and F 630am-1130am.I only eat two meals a day.A bag lunch at 1130 for work and supper when i get home. My lunch is a sandwich (mayo and bologna or PB&J) then i have a cup of fruit, some form of "junk food" snack and chips of some kind and a milk.I dont know how i would go about getting everything i need with only 2 meals and not sure how the heck i would do 4, unless i did a meal supliment or something.I also take the weiders creatine like i had mentioned earlier. When i was taking that i would take it as soon as i got up in the morning. With the Protein i would drink a 2 serving glass (20mg protein/serving) about 30 minutes before i worked out.
My thought is that doing the HST 10 rep routine is probably a very good step from doing my 20 pound dumbells..lol...im just trying to figure out how to somehow better my diet weather by food and/or additional supliments.I guess it may be easier for any of you reading this to think what would you do if this was you?Thanx alot for all the help and i am open for any suggestions on diet, suplimesnt, routines, or anything. Again thanx alot everyone. Im also interested in maybe doing a journal on the forum since i will be keeping record of my progress for any of you who might be interested in that to

I really don't think there's much of a difference. Quaker Quick oats are the same thing as the Old fashioned they are just pre-cut (smaller) and turn to power quicker in a blender.

"cut the junk food snack out of ur diet instead of two meals 4-6 good sized meals even if ur not hungry eat because it helps speed ur metabolism up ....good luck man"

ok i can cut the lil debbie stuff out no problom. The only minor issue, is with the 4-6 small meals a day. i work from 630am-5pm and my breaks are as fallows. A 15 minute at 9am, Lunch at 1130am, and last 15 at 230pm. so now i am wondering since i have 2- 15 minute breaks is there any kind of "bar" that i could eat that would suply me with the "goods" along with not burning a hole in my pocket.Would that be ok insted of an actuall meal?If not what kind of things could i pack into a cold lunch that i could eat on my 15 minute breaks that would help me?

Thanx so much guys/ladies for all the help

pack extra samwiches (you can eat those in 15 minutes), and that would be way better than a bar (pending you use good healthy wholesome ingredients ie whole wheat bread and lean meats) if you must get a bar, go for detour they are quality - but dont rely on them to replace meals. i would suggest going to :

    http://www.musclegaintips.com

and buying that program. it is worth every peny and its weight in gold, it is the most consciese, accurate informative weight gain book ive ever read. it will inform you on all aspects of your diet/exercise

Muscle Juice is packed full of simple sugars. the majority of weight gain that you will see will be from increased muscle glycogen storage and not gains of lean body mass.

get your whole food diet together first. then you can start adding in some supplements.

The oats we are discussing are in fact, oatmeal.

The reason I like O.F. is because I feel like I am actually getting full. The quick oats tastes like fucking wallpaper paste. Hate that shit. And, if memory serves correctly, there's more fiber-makes me dooty!!

ABLQ2: Yea i was thinking about tuna samiches since i know they have decent amounts of protein. I just had tuna salad after my workout lastnight along witha protein shake.I think the tuna can said it was a 2 serving can and contained about 10g of protein, though i didnt eat the whole salad..lol

juggernaut: Yea i think i will start mixing in some O.F. oats into my shakes now.I know we always have a big canaster of that here. Thanx for the advice.

ABLQ2: That is a good idea to pack extra samiches.Im far from stupid but i dont know why i didnt thinkof that.So you think tuna on whole wheat bread would be ok?
Thank you all for the replies and extra advice

When you mix them in your blender with the milk and protein powder the oats turn to powder. They taste pretty good in the shake IMO. I can't stand oatmeal any other way - like hot - yuck!
