Good diet. Good steady lifting routine. Good multivitamin. Protein. He already has the rest. After a while maybe add some creatine. Nothing more at his age.
my 14 y/o neighbor is looking into supplements to get stronger and grow. what are you guys opinions on this? i have told him what i thought but i think it would do better if he got some ingfo from others. what should he be doing and taking?

I agree, whey protein and a multivitamin. If you're at a plateu and can't possibly increase weights or reps for long period of time look into differnt types of creatine and NO.
make sure his diet is in check before he even thinks about supplements.

Diet/training routine HAS to be nailed down. Multivit and whey are assumed, build on from there.
Maybe not even creatine at his age

In the beginning all he needs is a good diet and a multi. Maybe some whey. After a while then he could take creatine as well.

Supplements
- Whey Protein
- Multi-Vitamin
I would go with One-A-Day Men's Vitamins, take 1 at Breakfast, and 1 at Lunch.- Essential Fatty Acids
Go with some Flax Seed or Fish Oil caps. Get them at a local pharmacy.
That's about all he needs now. He can take Creatine after he has a year of training under his belt, but I wouldn't jump into it right away.
Remember to focus on Diet though.![]()

Imma have to disagree with you on the flaxseed caps, too expensive for something inferior to Fish oil...

easy, tell him to grab a 5lb bucket of ONs 100% whey, Good Multi Vit, a bottle of BCAA's and some glutamine. thats all for supplements and for the rest just a good steady diet with proper working out habbits.

I have a friend who trained for several years, he really is a genetic freak (he trains chest every day without instance of injury and makes gains constantly, he is 15 and pushes 295), he has been taking creatine for quite a while which helped him with stamina problems that he was having.
I would agree with everyone else here on everything, start with a good diet, a good routine, and a multivit. But if he has problems with stamina, do not hesitate to look into creatine. Also make sure you know what kind of training he wants to do, bodybuilding and powerlighting can be quite different. What has helped me a lot while lurking here is ready people training logs and see what works and what doesn't. I think it is the most invaluable resource here if you don't mind the reading.
295 at 15 very believable........sophomore record for bench at my school is 350 at 200 and at high school powerlifting meets (no bench shirts) high school kids hit over 300 alot now

Well, not really, I have been helping him lift since he was 13, he also runs about 280+ when it comes to body weight, he is not exactly a small guy. He would actually be pushing a lot more if he was working out right. But as of right now his workouts consist of maxing every day and ignoring sticking points and the need for a spotter. I really think he would be in the three hundreds by not, albeit not that deep but still there if he would take my advice. As it is now though I can't help him (he works out at the local gym, and I work out at home), and he doesn't read english very well (his second language) so I think most of the advice and stuff that I print out for him does not get across very easily.
i would suggest teaching him to train properly... there are numerous amount of different styles of training...and not everyone responds the same to the same diet plan, u have to find what works for him... after years of training and reading all the bullshit magazines i try to piece diffrent ideas and styles to something that works best for me... it takes time...its great he is starting early
How old is he? How tall is he? How much does he weigh? Whats his BF%?
