    creatine mixing and time question

I bought some CEE from Bulk Nutrition and it takes like crap...I have had creatine before but this is horrid...I gave it some thought and instead of water I just mixed it with V-8. 10X better. Will doing this negate the properties of creatine. Also, I know you should take it ideally 30min before a workout, could I take it in the morning instead and get the same results. P.S. I bought a shaker today because I got sick of using a water bottle to mix my shakes and inside were free protein bars called procrunch by GNC...not bad, edible...they were free!

I mix my GLutamine with creatine and I'll tell ya it taste terrible with water. I always mix mine with milk. Besides I use 2 cups of milk which yield 20 grams of protein in itself. Yes you have to deal with the fat, but I can deal with that. Milk has a great way of masking the awful taste.

Now if I just consumed creatine monohydrate then that is virtually tasteless in water.

Can you take creatine in the morning? Sure, I don't see that it would degrade the affect much... They say 30 minutes prior to workout cause that is optimum. But I don't think it would make to much of a difference.

i took creatine straight with a table spoon and chugged it with juice (usually grape) ...it was fine, only tasted the "plastic" taste for a second after exhaling.

NASTY, but whatever works for you

    But seriously....it works!

I just tried downing the creatine with my new protein shake...A++++
then all I could taste is the nasty shake. I think I will buy some cheap 100% whey or whey isolate and throw the creatine in with that before a workout and then hit the Mega whey after the workout.

I try to avoid the shakes cause I hate the taste of them. Not to mention that they are sweeter than hell (well the ones I tried anyway). I try to get my protein just in the food and milk. I know milk may cause some unwanted fat, but it sure tastes much better; and hell the shakes have sugar and fat. 2 cups of milk = 20 'gs of protein. I just drink a glass of milk every hour 1/2 to 2 hours That give ya 40 grams within a 3 hour period. Between that its tuna, salmon, chicken or meat amongst other things.

As for the creatine in the shake... That is exactly what I used to do. I would toss everything in the shake. Nothing could taste as bad as the shake, so I didn't taste anything I dropped in there

Yeah, I dont like the taste of most shakes but the one I have now is pretty decent. 60 grams of protein = only one a day plus 300+ calories and no unwanted milk fat. On top of that it has riboflavin which milk losing due to being exposed to light (this is not a factor if you buy milk in cardboard rather than plastic). I still drink lots of milk, eat a crap load of tuna, and enough peanut butter to choke capt crunch

I just got the BN CEE also and it does taste like crap. Tastes like extremely bitter salt water mixed with chlorinated pool water.
I justmix it in water and try to chug it all at once...less time it spends in your mouth, less time there is to taste it

    Possible de-calcification from CEE

    Hey.

Visited my dentist recently. He mentioned I had some decalcification occurring, and we fingered CEE - which I had begun using in the weeks leading up to the appointment - as the probable culprit. In case you hadn't noticed, that stuff is bitter - like sucking-ten-lemons-simultaneously bitter. Like losing-a-contest-and-then-your-girlfriend-to-the-same-guy bitter. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

At any rate, he suggested I rinse my mouth thoroughly with tap water after consuming CEE, and even using a prescription flouride paste to reduce the acidity in my mouth. This elevated acidic level - the result of the bitter CEE, he surmised - was beginning to ruin my teeth.

Just an FYI, in case you were wondering what that funky feeling was on your teeth after downing the CEE.

CEE is Creatine Ethyl Ester, a new form of creatine that had to be approved by the FDA because it is not naturally occurring in nature. The up side is that it does not need the transport molecule. They have it at Bulk nutrition, you can read more about it or you can look up CE2 (same stuff made by the makers of NO2).

    CEE is so damn acid.
The morning, I just take water, take in the CEE and chase it down with more water. Postworkout, I just mix it with my gatorade which is my carbs source after training (better taste that way, I dont taste CEE at all)

if you use the CEE from Bulk Nutrition you should only be using 1/4 a teaspoon (thats the smaller one )

2.25 tablespoon ? Way too much of CEE. 1/3 of a tablespoon is roughly 3g so that's all you need if it is CEE.

Unless you're 300 lbs at 8-12% bf, only 3g of CEE is all you need, so 1/3 of a tablespoon. (1/3 tablespoon = 1 teaspoon )

I'm confused. How much creatine do you guys take a day?

I recently bought CEE from Bulk Nutrition and its 1/4 teaspoon = 600mg or something. I'm not at home so i can't remember exactly.
