Your diet is the biggest part of gaining muscle, ahead of lifting weights. You can't have one without the other and expect any results. The diet portion of the equation is neglected by so many people that it makes me sick. Protein bars are essentially used when you don't have enough time to make a full meal or you aren't anywhere to make a meal at all. It is best to get your nutrients from whole foods, but when that isn't an option, protein bars are a good replacement.

I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

There are better food choices to make but they will do if your in a pinch. Lifting heavy and eating the right foods will help you gain size not a protein bar.
