Most multis are filled with a certain percentage of nutrients that should cover your required daily intake or at least get you really close if you ate right. For ex. i take one that has 450 mg of Calcium to ensure that even if i miss a dairy product in the day, I can still get the recommended 1200 mg. I wouldn't waste your money taking more than the required dosage. Any uncessary extra vitamins, the water soluble ones at least, will just be excreted from your system. The fat-soulble can potentially build up to toxicity, Vit A D E K, that's why people don't advise superdosing them like you can Vit C to ward off a cold. And unless you eliminate a specific food group, I wouldn't worry about minerals b/c you get enough in what you eat. Unless you are vegeterian, that's an entire different issue.

The only vitamins I would take more than once per day would be water soluble vitamins such as B vitamins and C. Vitamins like A, D, E and K are fat soluble and can become toxic, as elvn said.

I take my multi-vitamin and vitamin C two times a day. All others I just take once a day after training.

Like Prince said, don't need to worry too much about the water soluuble vitamins. Your body will use what it needs and get rid of the rest.

I think you can take as many antioxidants as you want. But be careful with the other stuff.
