    Bcaa

Does anybody supplement BCAA's separately? Or can one get their requirements by simply downing a protein shake? If separately, how much are you supposed to take?

BCAAs are best when taken during a cut. When you are eating normally, you are getting enough of them in your shakes and meals, so there is no need to spend the extra money buying them and the effort to swallow them down.

If you are on a cut, the best time to take them is before cardio(if you are doing cardio on an empty stomach) and before bed. I take about 5g at a time.

Ditto that, before/after workout and at bedtime. 5g each. I've found that it really helps maintaining mass and strength while cutting.

    If you want
flavored powder: Scivation Xtend Watermelon, hands down
    Unflavored powder: Bulk BCAA's
    Caps: optimum is probably cheapest

Unflavored powder is by far the best deal for the $$$, but it is worth it to upgrade to xtend, taste SO much better

Hell yeah, I've downed some nasty shit for supplements, but that BCAA is REALLY nasty shit man. After trying a lot of mixtures I've found that taking it with red grapefruit takes some of the taste away (because its also bitter).
