Essential supps?

Getting back into the routine of class again and im ready to start training again. Ive got my diet and routine all planned out and im just figuring out the essential supps now. So far this is what i have:

-decent multi
-whey protein (obviously)
-Satur8 which is dicreatine malate i think..

Thats it for now. I was thinking of adding a BCAA stack or L-Glutamine or something. I tried glutamine once and didnt really notice much of anything except i think i lost a bit of weight in my wallet area. Perhaps i wasnt taking enough... Im just looking for things that i missed that will make a large impact on my training.

Thanks

Edit: Im talking non-hormonal supps here. Nothing like 1-AD, tribex or 1g test/400mg deca per week or anything like that

BCAA's arent necissary unless you are seriously cutting(comp). You get plenty from your whey, and the meats you eat.

Glutamine IMO is bogus. There is no scientific proof that its helpful in someone that weight trains. Infact the only time I have seen a positive study, it was used on severe burn victims and it was takes intraveniously.

I wouldnt waste my money on either, it looks like you already have the basics.

And why is that? What exactly are they doing for you? Can you really prove that they'er doing anything? I mean with all the foods, and supplements yoru taking, how can you accredit (whatever it is) to the BCAA's?

i suppose i dont have a double blind study to refer to, but in my years of working out, ive back slid almost as much as ive gained, and i notice when i am religous with my few supplements my gains seem to stick better.

but nothing will take the place of hard work and putting your time in.

I was taking glutamine at approx 40g per day....30g pure, and approx 10g in my whey shakes.....I stopped taking the glutamine for financial reasons, and I can notice a longer recovery time. I think it helped keep me healthy as I have been sick a lot since not taking it the past 10 months or so.

I feel glutamine works but only in large doses do you see any real gains from it. Basically if I had more money in the supplement budget I would be taking it still.

Because I added things in one at a time, I never started all at once. They have their place, mostly on a cut, which is what im doing now.

Yeah, the BCAAS really wouldnt do you any good, your body is going to be getting more than enough. Glutamine is still cool, you dont really NEED to go as high a dose, IMO

I carry 215lbs of muscle on my 5'10" frame....I feel a normal dose of glutamine didn't do it for me....I didn't notice something until around 40g. I have read a lot saying that higher doses are better.
