    Protein Question

I am currently taking CE2 (by mri) and nitrix and am liking the results. However, im not gaining weight. I drink tons of water its almost unreal. I am in the bathroom every 10 mins peeing. Im pretty confident that i know the reason im not gaining weight.

This sounds gay but im highly allergic to milk. Anaphylactic to milk is the technichal term. The difference between being anaphylactic to milk and lactose intolerant is that when your lactose intolerant, your body doesnt produce lactate to break down the lactose in milk, so you take those lactate pills before you eat dairy products and your good. Being anafalactic to milk, im allergic to the proteins in milk. One of the major proteins in milk is none other then Whey. Whey is awesome for weight gaining. So basically im stuck at around 150 lbs on a college salary trying to gain weight and it sucks. I cant afford to buy loads of meat or I would. I do eat alot as it is, and i eat pretty healthy too.

Anyways, what I have been trying to get at is this:
Does anyone know of a protein shake that is lactose free and would be safe for me to take? Something as effective as Whey. I have tried Egg White powder and Soy protein powder but had no results. Maybe i should try different brands. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks

Hmm..... is casein protein similiar to whey?
That can be your PM protein, or daily protein to take that isn't for post workout.
That is probably the second most used supplement protein.....

Egg whites might be a great alternative.... you sure it's not working out? Maybe not taking carbs with it?

What I do is buy carbs separately from my protein, and throw in carbs into every shake to make a homemade weight gainer. I'm in college too, and furthermore I got no money hahah. But I bought a massive container of carbohydrate for around 60 dollars shipped, which gives me over 300 servings of just under 30 carbs.

Its complex carbs that really can add weight too, not sugar. I think theres less than 1 gram of sugar per serving.

So maybe try carbs adding to your shakes! (Maybe a 2 to 1 ratio of carbs)

casein protein is very smilar to whey protein. I have not tried a shake with casein, but from what i have read, casein and whey are the two most common proteins in milk

So what if i did like...

    Egg White powder
    Carb Powder
bunch of fruits like bananas and strawberries
    Soy Milk
    Ice

Probably would taste like shit, but do you think it would work for post work out? And what would you recommend for pre workout (I take no xplode pre) and before i goto bed at night?

And do you think you could link me to some of that carb powder you talked about.

    Thanks alot man

try to avoid the soy. dig in on some eggs, go nuts, go to costco or something, its cheaper to buy actual eggs, but remember, each yolk has 4-5g of fat in it, so keep that in mind with your calories and all that. oh, and pick up some salmon/beef/chicken while you are at costco. The carb powder is probably maltodextrin, its OK stuff, not great

Thumbs up It's NOT what you digest but what you absorb

You are dealing with low quality protein (soy and casein), artificial sweeteners, and no digestive enzymes. I had this problem before where I did not see gains and everytime I had a shake I had to run to the bathroom within an hour.

My Doctor referred me to this new product called FIT 365. Since I started using it a month ago, I've gained 6 pounds of lean muscle and cut my bodyfat by 2%! Best of all, my stomach doesn't hurt after drinking the shakes. My Doctor says it's because it is natural and organic and the enzyme blend creates fantastic absorption.

I buy it at www.getfit365.com. It is more expensive then what I used to get at Costco, but you definitely get what you pay for, and I would do anything to get gains. I take 2 servings for a meal because 1 is not enough for bodybuilders.

Just buy some papain/bromelain at Costco, and take like 8 cases of eggs. lol, you'll be good to go, its rather unfortunate that you cant digest the milk proteins... they rock.
