Does anyone take Glutamine raw?

I saw a Jay Cutler DVD today in which he took a scoop of Glutamine powder and swallowed it raw( he says he takes 40 grams a day). I've never thought to do this and have always mixed it in juice, water or in a protein shake.

Taking it raw seems much easier and convenient. Does anyone else here swallow this raw?

yes, taking creatine and or glutamine without mixing it is quite common.
I know I do this, but I do also chase it with some liquid. Mono and or glut is pretty much tasteless.

Yeah, and be careful not to breathe in through the mouth while the powder is in there! You will choke for quite a while! LOL!

Nothing, and I mean nothing, is worse than straight CEE powder in water. THAT is a form of torture!

My guess is that he feels it is worthless as a bodybuilding supplement.

I had absolutely no success with the claims that glut appears to make in the 1/2 year that I used it.

Well, I think it mightve been the dosage; I am weighing in at 208, and took in 10-15 grams a day. It got expensive after a while and I didnt have the money at that time to be wasting it on experiments. I stuck with whey/dextro and that was it. Made great gains all from whole, clean food. I am in a better position now and was thinkiing of giving it a try again, possibly increasing the dose.

But the CEE does taste absolutely horrendous.

Yeah, could have been the dose. Optimal results for me come at a dose of 25-35 g per day.
