I don't mean to piss all over your party there but this http://www.ag-guys.com/ web site is a joke, first it asks me to agree to something that is in flash format (which I don't have installed) so I'm being asked to agree to a missing plugin (no loophole there!). Then on the disagree explanation it's quoting a law "Internet Privacy Act" of 1995 which doesn't exist. There is no internet privacy act in 1995. That disclaimer has been used by thousands of websites for years now, it was a joke that people took seriously and copied.

"Though the confusing verbiage smacks of legalese, the disclaimer is legally meaningless. There is no 'Internet Privacy Act.'"

-Bruce Lehman, a lawyer who worked on Internet copyright law for the Clinton administration.

It's completely unprofessionally done and flat out lies to you in the process. It really looks like it's something a child did while trying to look professional made a complete moron out of himself.

If you believed that disclaimer you are violating the Internet Idiocy act of 1996 signed by Captain Planet.

We were not discussing who has the best website on the block. They offer top-notch products which I, and many friends, have used and we whole-heartedly standby them.

If you are so tech savvy, why not figure out how to install the plug-in, instead of crying about how inconvenient it is?

Who cares if the disclaimer is a joke? All disclaimers are. Everyone still has the right to sue. It just gives the defendant something to show in court which reflects responsibility on their part.

I was just saying that immediately upon entry the website lies to you. Not a good first impression. I don't use flash for a reason, it's a catalyst for spam and I never said I was "so tech savvy" stop making things up.

I know, and I appreciate what they do, they just need to present themselves a little bit better IMO

there really isnt a right or wrong in this situation in terms of placement, or what fits in this thread..... there was just an unhappy customer at that site...

this is simply a madder of you guys using a bias towards the site....
how many terrible sites would we stumble in to if we didnt have people telling us where the flaws were... people should welcome and evaluate the flaws instead of snarling at them and gettin pissed off at the person who wrote it

ive never shopped there, but im sure that this site must be very reliable, due to the amount of satisfied customers on this thread.

BUT, every sight can't be perfect.... where else would he have written his comments to get it out into the public aside from a thread that already directly deals with a review?

I will, but it was on topic. The topic was about the site, I posted about the site. He made a recommendation and I rebuked it. He promoted the site and I (gave his positive opinion) and I retorted (negative opinion).

If it's okay for one it's okay for another, you're simply saying that good review is okay but a bad one isn't proper here.

Much love and no hard feelings but try not to let your bias interfere and discourage free chat. Just my opinion anyway!
