whey vs. prostrate

In the last week I have met two people that said that taking whey protein powder resulted in an enlarged prostrate. One was a 40 y/o black male, competing bodybuilder, the other a 19 y/o white male, novice lifter. Both ended up in a doctors office complaining of painful urination and were both diagnosed with enlarged prostrates. After stopping taking whey, both returned to normal healthy condition.

Anybody else heard of this?

I bet it was the whey and not the steroids and booze they were abusing.

Not this time. This are legit cases. I'm more inclined to believe it was the type of protein powder they were taking, due to fillers, etc. But it's still the first time I have ever heard it.

Yea, if the protein concentration in the urine was increased considerably, it might cause problems... but I have only heard it being hard on the kidneys not the prostate.

I think this is BS personally..

That's true about the kidneys, I have a co-worker who drinks coke all day long. I keep telling him to drink water but the idiot ignores me.....needless to say he's pissed out kidney stones 3 times.
