    ephedra and athletic drug tests

I'm a college wrestler and am subject to NCAA drug tests. I currently take Xenadrine RFA-!(the original good stuff with ephedra; I stocked up before the ban). I find that ephedra thermogenics help me make weight and maintain energy during practice. Because ephedrine is banned in NCAA sports, I need to know how long it takes to clear the body for a drug test. Most drug tests only occur before competition so it would not be very hard to figure out when to stop taking it if I know the clearance time. Thanks guys.

Not positive, but ephedra prolly clears very quickly and since alot of cold medicines contain it, they are testing for concentrations that would lead to performance benefits. So, if I took ephedra today at noon, I would think the levels they are looking for would be clean 6-12 hours later.

The half-life is 3-7 hours, so if you can find out what blood level they are looking for, you could easily figure it out.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Good point, but they aren't so much looking for blood levels as they are metabolites in the urine.

i dont see how they can really test for that, u can simply say u had a bad cold and took a medicine that had epherda in it, then piss all over who ever is taking the samples. IMO

No you can't, there is no tolerance.

Correct. There is no tolerance for ephedra in NCAA even if use was inadvertent.
