    Creatine Mono + Sugar

    Ok hey guys,

A few days ago i upgraded my shitty old creatine for a better one that gives me 5g per serving instead of 1.5g.

Ok im planning to be hitting 10g once a day on non-work out days and 15g post-workout.

I was just speaking to my friend about creatien and the lot and he was telling me mono does almost nothing unless you take at least 50g of sugar with it as it the only way it obsorbs into the muscle (insulin)

    Is this right?
SHould i add some sugar to my protein shake?

    Thanks, Rob

It's better to use dextrose if possible, yes, but if you don't use it you'll still probably see some benefit from it.

I would suggest switching to a creatine ethyl-ester product when your creatine monohydrate runs out. It's a better form.

Is it better to take Creatine seperatly from protein or is it ok to take it with?

I heard also that it is better to take 10-15mins before the whey because it helps induce protein synthesis more efficiently

throwing your creatine in with your protein shake is fine. Actually, about any powder you supplement with can be taken with your protein. No harm there.
