    Creatine?

I just started using Lucent Labs Micro Creatine about four weeks ago and haven't felt any results off of it. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I was taking 5g a day but then boosted it up to 10g after not seeing anything. I take it with apple juice. Please help.

OK, first off.............don't take this wrong........

Don't use apple juce........it's too acidic.
Use grape juice. And only 6-8 ounces.

Most people use 10gr per day. 5 gr in the am and 5 gr in the pm.

But there are allot of other factors also, what is your training schedule and routine..............What is your diet like?

Give us some more info, so that we may better evaluate.

Yep...apple juice ain`t gonna do it.

Grape is much better, and something like kool aide is better again, particularly post workout when you need those extra carbs anyway.

I train 5 days a week, one body part a day. Usually about 1 1/2 - 2 hours daily. I've been taking 5g in the morning and 5g before I work out which is about 5:00pm. My diet is pretty good. Lots of protein and stay away from junk.

I was taking it with kool-aid for a couple weeks but was told apple or grape juice was better. So I switched to apple. When I was taking it with kool-aid I didn't notice any difference.

What I would do ( depending on a heap of different things ) would be to take 5g in kool aide POST workout only for a couple of weeks.......see how it goes and then try 5g pre and another 5g post and see how that goes.....all with sugary drink like kool aide or grape juice.

Try to keep your workouts closer to the 1 hour mark....more ain`t always better as everyone says.

If you still don`t get any results, change to a famous brand with a transport system and give it a go. As I`ve posted before, I wen`t through a few brands before I found one that worked for me.

Ok, I'm not going to get into the loading VS no loading debate.....we all know about that.

But, did you pre-load for a period of time? (I know it's not needed)

You really won't feel a big difference......over a period of time you will notice that your workouts will become slightly heavier. Not drasticlly.

I did load when I started. I know a lot of people say its a waste but I heard both ways. So being new to it all, I loaded for the first 5 days.

    Cookie,
next time try a different brand as Kuso suggested. Just remember that you may not benifet the same as someone else. everyperson is different.

Sorry bud, thought you may be another 15 year old, in which case I would have told you not to bother with it.

Try the post-pre/post....and if it still doesn`t do anything.....get another brand.

If you are looking for one with a transport system, I`d go with eas phos.....something or other LOL forget the name, or AST`s HSC ( the only one with micronized creatine in it I think ) , or if you`ve got money to burn...even cell-tech is a good product, just too expensive!!!!

I use the plain AST micronized and love it......I`ve never used their HSC but it has the same creatine in it so I would think it would be great!!

hey kuso - would you recommend creatine to a woman trying to get leaner (at 19% bodyfat now shooting for 14%) and gain some muscle? i'm so afraid of the "bloat"

would love your opinion. i've searched and read lots and gotten totally different responses. what are your thoughts?

Another creatine question. I was told load 30gs for a week maintain 10gs (5 & 5) for two weeks then go off the stuff for two weeks so ur body continues to produce its own creatine. Should you go of the stuff or not?

Well, there is the school of thought that loading is not needed. I know some people load........20mg/ed for 4-5 days. the maintain at 10mg/day. Creatine is totally safe to use for long periods of time. However, to get the most out of your suplement $$$$, Use it for 8, 10 or 12 weeks......then cycle off for about 3-4 weeks, then go back on if you feel a need. It's not rocket science. Hope this helps you. Just read the lable of what ever you purchase and follow the directions on the lable. That's a good starting place.

i was wondering if an ladies on the forum have used creatine.

i'm still all caught up in the bloat factor. one minute i decide to not try it and then i wonder if i'm maybe missing out on a great supplement.

not to be sexist....but i think that men may be able to tolerate and accept a bit of bloat better then women. (does that make any sense)

i mean - i think a man may be more willing to overlook a bit of blurring of his definition if he's seeing more size. (more then a lot of women would be ?)

so wondering if women here have tried it and if they continued to use it. thanks!
