The Original Jackass

Well this sucks! I ordered a 7.5lb tub of protein powder and it doesn't mix worth a sh!t. I use a blender and I'm still getting huge chunks of the stuff. Anybody have any ideas on rectifying this problem?

I've tried blending it pretty long. Haven't tried the little bit at a time thing yet. I'll give that a go, thanx

It's from 'PVL', but you can't judge by that. My previous protein powder was also from PVL, but it was thier 'gold' version
I can definitely see the variance from their top of the line down to the middle![]() |

No idea
They have a pretty good product though (well for pills and powder that doesn't turn into sludge ) they even extended a challenge to Muscletech that their fat burners are more effective and cheaper than hydroxycut. I've noticed good gains on their stuff. But I'm still pissed about the sludge. ![]() |

try mixing it with water. that or gotta agree with fade99, and add a little at a time.
Personally I can't stand the ones I mix so I barely use enough water to make it a liquid, so it basically becomes a Protein shooter instead of shake lol. That and I've found that stiring it with a fork instead of a spoon works to break up the chunks like that better. |

Would mixing it with water help any? I mean if it's in a blender with milk and there is still chunks in it would it dissolve better in water?
I just want to make sure that this is the case before I try it because I know how well protein powder and water taste ![]() But if thats what it takes ![]() |

Because water is thinner it might mix better. Also, if you use ice, add it AFTER you have fully blended. Are you sure it isn't your blender? Maybe its starting to go.
Otherwise you either try to send it back or go with the protein pudding idea!! |

I wish it was the blender, but nope
Well I sure hope fade's idea works, other wise I'll try the water method I'm getting a little curious. I'm going to go try one now, wish me luck. ![]() |

That did the trick, luckily. I wasn't really looking forward to the water. Thank you all for the suggestions, I sure appreciate them ![]() |

I've found usually the longer you blend it the thicker it gets...especially with meal replacements! Just add a little at a time and blend no longer than necessary!

Don't mind the thickness, (shut-up, I know how bad that sounds) it was the chunks that were pissing me off.
