Help with Supplements

Hey - What are the best supplements out there for building muscle for women? Does Andro, Tribulius do any good for us? Other than the "warned about" side effects, is there anything designed specifically for women? I've seen the advertisements for Gammo-O, but have not spoken with anyone that has used it personally. Any suggestions would be great. I'm already eating super clean, no cheating and taking my muscles to failure on each workout. but it seems all I'm doing is losing fat weight and not building muscle weight....

I wouldn't recommend that you start playing around with prohormones, they are not the solution to your goals. Make sure you have a good, balanced diet with plenty of protein. In terms of supplements just stick with the basics:-

Whey protein
Multivitamin/calcium
Fish Oil
Creatine
Soy isoflavones

Gawd no I don't want facial hair!! Geez. Anyway, I think I'm just being impatient about the process. I am already taking multi-vitamin, calcium and whey protein. I'm new at this, so I'm not familiar with fish oil, or the soy isoflavones. I was told that creatine just held the water in your muscles???? I don't know.

Creatine does hold more water within your muscles, but that's just a side effect. Creatine helps increase ATP resynthesis and may help in buffering the acidity associated with weight training. This equates to higher training intensity.

It also has many other benefits: -

San V12... I still can't stand the flavor but after a few days of taking it, you want to start bench pressing treadmills... crazy power.

Do not take your muscles to failure every workout.

I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!

Is there a reason why not to go till failure on your exercises??? That is what I was told by a trainer, when I consulted with him as to how to build size.

women do not have as much test as men, especially as they age, therefor the recovery process slows. This is true in both males and females.

try using glutamine, creatine, and amino acids.

I am starting to take creatine - only one tsp in a.m. and one tsp in p.m....Does this sound like a correct amount in your opinion. I'm 5'4" and at 127 right now - have lost 10 lbs of bodyfat, but no increase in lean body weight. I have glutamine in my cabinet, my husband takes it, but I have not yet.

Thumbs up hope this helps

Dont worry about taking all those supplements and growth hormones... they will all affect you in the long run and cause problems for you later in life..stick to your natural tablets and supplements such as fish oil, multi vitamins, vitamin c, protein, glutamine and creatine.. if you want to gain muscle you need to probably eat much more then you are doing atm, and it doesnt necessarily have to be as healthy but dont go of the tracks.. by this i mean you should start increasing your carbohydrate intake while keeping your protein level the same or a little lower then normally aswell as adding a tiny bit more of fat into your diet. when you workout try increasing your weight size and lowering your repettitions (dont go to failure) e.g heavy weight with 6-10 rep is mainly for building muscle. this is called the "bulking stage" when and if you see improvements in muscle size and your happy with it, cut straight down on your diet but make sure the change is not to rapid because your body will not be use to it.. start eating more protein and lowering your carb intake. once you do this go to the gym and start doing more cardio vascular excersices with lighter resistance training with higher reps. e.g light to medium weight with 10-15 reps or so this is called the "ripping or cutting down stage".. it is also good to add in supersets, dropsets and going to failure in this stage of your workout as this creates lean muscle and gives you that rip look..and remember it all takes time and dedication.. hope this helped.. jaydon
