    chromium

Has there been any real evidence showing that chromium has any benefits for healthy weight trainers? I have heard that niacin bound chromium has worked on obese people, but are their any other studies showing it improves insulin in us healthy people?

Chromium in general works with insulin to regulate and release energy from glucose. So basically, it teams up with insulin to control blood glucose concentrations. It is the cofactor for insulin in glucose uptake by cells, and glucose tolerance factor. I don't believe there are any true or conclusive studies on Chromium's ability to decrease body fat and increase lean tissue.

Diabetics may notice some sort of effect. If you're healthy and you have no blood-sugar management issues, i doubt you'll notice any difference.

Even diabetics, unless deficient, will not really see any difference either.
