Speaking of. How do you go about getting a job at one of these supplement designer companies--besides applying--i know that much.

you are basically asking how do you become a scientist, well you get the appropriate degree (like the ones I mentioned), probably be best to go for a masters, do some internships and start sending out resumes.

I'm currently studying Forensics and Toxicology with a double major of Biomedical Science. Then after that, I'm doing another 2 years to get a Pharmacy degree. If you do something like Biochemistry/Biomed, you should be fine.

Right now im trying to decide wat field I want to study. I want to do something with biochemistry, biotechnology, or genetics.

I'm not sure if you can do a course entirely on Biochemistry. Biochemistry is one of my units (a single class), so you may need to do Biomedical Science. Perhaps speak to a head co-ordinator at a university and say you want to work within the health industry. I'm sure they could point you in the right direction

Yeah, I am 1hr from getting my Biomedical Engineering degree and about 12hrs from my Chemistry degree--double major. My intent is to go to medical school afterwards, but that may change. Well, I just got out of class--Time to hit the gym and then its off to the Wellness Fair, then work. Thanks for the input.

I though biomedical engineering was prostetics and stuff like that?

For the most part, it could be considered that, but the field extends to pretty much anything medical. True enough, it deals more in general with devices, from tongue depressers to MRI machines to artificial heart machines and bioengineers would focus more on the biological side, but it depends on the college and program focus as to the depth in each field. I actually went above and beyond to allow myself the background needed to understand more biology and chemistry that what most of my classmates have. The field of biomedical engineering is ridiculously broad and the job possibilities are seemingly endless.
