Suppliments for a newbie.
Like I have stated before, I am pretty new to WL. I of course want to get gains safely, so this brings up a (IMO) good question.
When is the best time to start using all kinds of suppliments? I Drink a protien drink after workout, and will be starting to take 2 of them a day to meet my protien needs. However, I also have gotten some Creatine, and l-glutamine suppliments, but have not started using them yet. Only going say 3 times a week to the gym, for 45mins to an hour a workout day, would Creatine be good for me at such a time? |

My diet is up in the air ATM, but I think I am going to go with what W8lifter suggested in this thread: (or very similar)
http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/sh...&threadid=6164 (Cutting? Diet or exercise?) I am also going to go from a 5 day split to a 3 day and see how that goes. My goals.. hmm, I would say I would like to reach a 300lb bench/ 450dead/ 400 squat in two years, and be in good enough physique by next spring that I can get all the ladies in a swimsuit..lol Oh, I am 24 (25 in June), 5'9 190 lbs (gained 5 lbs somewhere since last week..lol). I hope that starting out this late in my age doesnt slow me down any, and really will reach out for that goal of 2 years. |

Hey epimetheus...
Creatine and Glutamine are good stuff, I recommend both. Creatine possibly the morning of the day you workout, and just after your workout (5g servings). Glutamine take as much or as little as you want to spend on it. I've taken upwards of 20g a day, and the benifits (like not getting sick, recuperation time, etc) are worth the price IMO. Besides that just a good protein supp. Some whey for directly after your workout and a mix for times when you are just looking to intake some extra protein. You'll probably want to get acquainted with your routines and diet before you start trying anything more exotic than those though. Eggs |

I have ben lifting for about three months now. I have been taking GNC mega whey protein when I started. I jumped up a level and now I'm taking creatine and ripped fuel. This is increaseing my strength but not my size. I'm looking for a supplement that will cause massive increases in mass. Anyone have some suggestions?
