    Headaches with melatonin?

I've tried Melatonin before, up to 9mg at a time and it did nothing for me at all. Now I'm using a different brand probably over a year later and it works GREAT.

However if I use a full 3mg tab I seem to wake up with headaches, does anyone else get this? I almost wake up feeling like I have had a very irregular sleep schedule and drugged myself to sleep, one morning had me waking up almost feeling like I had a hangover.

So anyhow half a tab seems to work fine, but I wanted to see if it was really the melatonin that was doing this and that seems to be the case.

Anyone else get this, or do just fine using 3mg at a time?

I've used 3mg doses in the past and I was fine. I suggested it to someone and they described the exact same symptoms you have, so chances are it is the melatonin.

I've taken it before but only times where sleep was a problem. I took it one time for 3 days in a row and on the third day of waking up I felt the same way. I had an irregular sleep, almost like a hangover. They say not to over due that stuff, so I think maybe you're taking too much or not waiting enough time in between dosages.

Sleep has been a problem for me recently. It really hurts the intensity of morning cardio. Have been considering melatonin but I'm not quite the guinea pig type and am cautious of supplementing something that might make me wake up feeling hung over. I quit drinking for a reason!

From the 8 thousand threads I have read regarding melatonin just now it seems everyone has a slight different experience so I guess I will just have to pick up a bottle and try it out.

I do remember trying it many years ago, I think in highschool, and it didn't really help me. I imagine things might be much different now that have been on a clean diet and consistant training program for quite awhile now.

I'm guessing any cheap ole brand will work and 3mg seems to be the popular dosage?
