Acesulfame potassium is a calorie-free artificial sweetener, also known as Acesulfame K or Ace K, and marketed under the trade names Sunett and Sweet One. In the European Union it is also known under the E number (additive code) E950. It was discovered accidentally in 1967 at Hoechst AG (now Aventis.)

ON has a natural whey line that is sweetened with Stevia. Worth looking into. Stevia is way more natural. The Kaizen line I use is similar to ON. Stevia does alter the taste a little but as far as sweeteners go, it's a natural extract at least and not bad.
