Anyone? I'd appreciate anybodys opinion...you guys know a lot more then me. Thanks
I have had one hell of a time with supplements and trying to get bigger and stronger. I'll try to make this as short as I can, but I'd appreciate it if you guys can read this and then tell me if you think it is safe for me to take creatine.
First, I am only 21 and have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. It runs in my family along with heart problems. I think my BP was about 140/90 and when the doctor put me on meds it is down to about 120/80. My diet change has also helped keep it lower.
Second, about 2 years ago I tried taking Syntrax Swole V2. To make a long story short, after about a week of using it I ended up getting arthritis in my joints. Doctor said he thought it was viral arthritis. I took meds, it went away after awhile and I started the V2 again. The arthritis came back after a week again. I have never messed with anything since then except protein.
So basically I am really tempted to take creatine again. My health and living a long life is more important to me then getting big. So now that you all know my health background, do you think creatine is safe for me? Thanks

Well if you found creatine harmed you twice in a row, why would you use it again? What is in Syntrax Swole V2?
Well I remember posting here when I got the arthritis and everyone on here said they have never heard of creatine doing anything like that. I guess I am kind of hoping it was just a coincidence or that maybe it was just the V2. I am not sure whats in V2, I just remember I read some posts about people saying it was good quality. I am just a beginner with supplements...sorry. Thanks for the reply.
I think the safest thing for you to take is pure creatine monohydrate. I dont knwo if mono is safer than ethyl ester but i'd have to say so because it's been around longer. I dont think creatines gonna afffect your blood prsesure at all, just drink and constantly hydrate yourself.
The answer is no. Take a balloon and fill it up with water. Check the pressure if you can. Now add water, and more water. The pressure increases. Creatine will do this to your body. Most of the gains from this stuff comes from the water. Eventually the water drops and you might have a net gain of a couple lbs. of muscle. It took me six months of hell to drop this water too. Basically, creatine made me fat. If you are diabetic definately stay away.

what's the difference between creatine monohydrate and ethyl easter ?
Thanks....the whole balloon with water analogy does make alot of sense. I definitley don't wanna mess with anything that will increase my BP. Like I said before I would rather live a longer healthier life then gain a few pounds of muscles. I guess I am just going to have to try making gains the old fashion way.
I would personally go with a straight creatine product without the additions. That way you will know for sure if it is the creatine bothering you, or if it is something else in the product.
I would go with a straight Creatine Ethyl Ester product if it were me. (Less fluid retention).
Also, it is so very important to stay properly hydrated when taking creatine of any type.
You could as your doctor for his opinon, but he might tell you to stay away from creatine anyway. If you want to try pure creatine its up to you, just start out light with it and see how it goes.
