Experimenting with Mega Whey Extreme - did the GNC associate know what I really need?
Yes, yes, GNC product, over-priced, I know, but I finally got enough money and couldn't wait 4-5 more days for shipping.
It's the GNC brand Mega Whey Extreme. Instead of grabbing the usualy Opti Nutrition 100% Whey Gold, I asked the guy what else is a good protein.
He/she said that Mega Whey X is a good one because it includes BCAA's as opposed to whey alone which doesn't have certain amino acids. So...was he/she right in helping me establish what protein I wanted?
Regardless, it's only the 3 lbs tub so I should be done with it soon (since my bro is helping me use). I can always move to a new one soon. But so far, it feels the same as whey alone. I'm just skeptical of drinking 60g of protein, 3 scoops in one sitting. I'm always so used to drinking 3 drinks throughout the day. I hope my body can absorb all of that 60g protein right after work out...hope I'm not just pissing it out.
The directions are to drink 3 scoops in one sitting after workout or right away in the morning on non-training days. Must be a reason for that. Otherwise, it's just absurd. What do you think? Bend the rules and make it 1 1/2 scoop, two sittings?
Yes, bend the directions and make it 1 and a 1/2 or 2 scoops. Plus it will last longer while your waiting for the other protein to be shipped if you decide to order online next time. John
I love mega whey extreme, the taste is the best for any whey I have ever tried. I limit my servings to two scoops, I drink a serving first thing in the morning, and one right after a workout. which is usually in the evening.
plus if you note the comparisons of MWE to ON gold you will see that one scoop of MWE has alittle more aminos that ONG. Plus MWE tastes way better.
