    Creatine Question

    Hello

Went to my local nutritional store and picked up some:

"ON" Pro Complex Augmented Protein System
    It containts BCAA's Glutamine...ect

I spoke with the owner a bit and he sayd I should try Pure Advantage Creatine Monohydrate and that I should mix it in with my protein prior and after my workout's.

I read on the back of the PA creatine bottle and it says I need to do a loading phase and take it 4-5 times daily for the first 7 days then once before and after every workout after that first week. It says it should not be mixed with any juices with acidics.

I was curious what are some juices I can mix with that would work? Also after the first week of the loading phase can I just mix it with my regular protein?

    My ON Protein contain's:

    Under acid it lists:
    Glutamine Peptides
    L-Leucine
    L-Isoleucine
    L-Valine
    Aminogen

So would this counter-act the creatine?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated

Loading that much is just a way to make you spend more money. You can double the dose instead of quadrupling it and still get a decent frontload. When I take creatine, I find it works better and I get less cramping if I spread it out in more than one dose. Usually two to three, one before and one after. Take it with fruit juice or I might be wrong on this but I used to use Gatorade with it. You're protein supplement won't hurt or interfere with you creatine.

    Thanks

Do you make your shakes with milk? Milk has sugar in it, so that would work. I'm still not a big proponate of going apeshit with the loading. Only ever caused cramping for me. You should like the strength gains you see with it rather quickly. Still one of the best supplements for strength gains that doesn't require going to the darkside.

Usually just mix it with water, althought I have never thought if using milk.

I pretty much stick with skim milk, do you think there would be enough sugar in it to carry the creatine along with the protein? Also would the protein counter act the creatine or would they both work together.

Worst comes to worst I can down my protein with water....then a small glass of grape juice with creatine 30-45min prior to workout.

Im doing pretty much a balance of cardio and weight lifting

I personally use milk for the taste, extra protein, and extra calories. I usually don't use skim. You need some fats to help absorb and utilize the protein more efficiently.
