Can whey expire?
I know it can and stuff but the whey I have doesnt have an expiration date on it.. I bought it around thanksgiving time, I want to finish the jug before I buy a new one though, I'm just not sure if I will get sick from it..

If you bought it around thanksgiving, you should be fine.

Isn't there a "best by" date on it?

My ON Whey doesn't have an expire or sell by date on it...I was wondering the same thing because I have 20lbs of it that is like a year old. I assume its sealed air-tight so nothing to worry about. I think it probably matters more if the package is already opened.

I don't think the actual protein is what they are referring to on expiration dates - it's more likely the added flavoring. Those chemicals, such as sugars for example, can go bad after some time.

would you need to take into consideration how long it was on the shelf in the store for?
Also, what about the temperature it was stored in? |
