When a label says to use a "rounded scoop" does that mean a heaping scoop, or is rounded the opposite of heaping? As in the volume of the scoop is filled perfectly and no more.
I had to look this one up. This is the best I could come up with for ya:
A rounded tablespoon means there is as much of the product you are measuring above the top edge of the spoon as there is in the "bowl" of the spoon.
A heaped tablespoon means as much as you can get on the spoon without it falling off.
A level tablespoon is where the ingredient is only level with the top edge of the spoon. This can be achieved by filling the spoon and then running a knife horizontally across the top two edges of the spoon which discards anything above the level of the spoon. Of course, do make sure you have something underneath to catch it!
Damn that doesn't really apply to scoops, but thanks. I guess rounded for scoops means you fill it up and then a bit more for good measure, but not quite heaping.
I have to finish off this weightgainer (mammoth 2500) and the label says 4 scoops = 235g. Which doesn't make sense because the scoop is the same size as the scoop in my whey isolate container, and that one measures out like 34 grams or something.... unless the densities between the gainer and isolate are way different.
