The vitamins are fine at 2 a day. With protein, I only take 3 scoops a day and the rest I make up for in my diet and is what you should do.
When you try out a new supp for the first time, do you follow the recommended dosage on the bottle or do you just take what you feel is sufficient? I feel like I shouldn't trust these general dosage recommendations because for one thing different people have different requirements but also that I'm inclined to believe that the manufacturers list the maximum recommended safe dosage so that you use them up sooner and thus need to refill asap.
Right now, I'm taking GNC Megamen multis and whey protein daily. As of now, I take 1 multi daily after breakfast(directions on bottle recommends 2/day after meals). As for whey, the tub suggests 1g of protein/lb of body weight. I'm about 190lbs but I only take 2 scoops(24g of protein/scoop) on off days and 3 scoops if I go to the gym(In which case 3/4 scoop in the morning, pre, post workout and before bed). Suffice to say that along with my 3 meals/day, I'm not getting the 190g as suggested by the directions.
Opinions or suggestions from experienced folks are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Don't over think this stuff, it sounds like you are doing fine the way you are doing it now.

True to not overthink yourself on it, but also remember your doses of protein need to reflect your workout and your goals.
If you're aiming to have more lean muscle mass and have a smaller more cut appearance try to keep your protein intake around .7 to .9 grams per lb of body weight on training days, and around .6 to .8 on non training days. If you're going for mass of course you need more protein to feed into your muscles.
I could keep going on but you can find that kind of information anywhere, all I'm saying is make an effort to keep those things in mind when you're planning the balance of your diet specifically in this case your protein intake.

As far as protein intake goes, I've found and read a lot of articles that helped me determine my ideal intake amount however any advice on the multivitamins, do I really need to take that 2nd tab?
I personally take 1 multivit a day and top it up with a small Vit C tablet - I dont do more than that... it would be useful to get a definitive answer on just how much protein you should consume...?
