Depends on what your goals are.

    They are great supplements though.

I bet if you used the search facilities, you would find loads of info.

I am sure there is an article on essential supplements in the articles section by Tom Venuto.

at the moment my goals are too get stronger and put on some lean mass, that's why u thought it would be a good idea to start taking them.

after I finish this and want to maintain or even begin cutting do u think I could go without them if my diet is up to par?

Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in muscle.

Some of the latest research suggests that BCAAs not only stimulate muscle growth, but are beneficial to the immune system.

Is money an issue for you?

If you are going to be a bodybuilder, then yes, supplementation continues.

It is estimated that up to 80% of Americans have a micronutrient deficiency, so I would say to continue with supplementation, especially a multi-vit/mineral

If you are using a good Whey Protein powder, then it would contain BCAA's. You could try to supplement with it but it is said you can dissolve and ingest only a small amount at a time.

As for Glutamine. The supp industry makes it seem like a 'necessary' BB supp. But ...

At all other times it is worthless...

I take glutamine first thing in the morning before cardio to prevent muscle catabolism.

I am on a fricking comp diet for nearly half a bloody year though!

    No so hypo-caloric though.

I guess you need it, then.

But for the average Gym warrior it prob isnt necessary as the supp industry would make one think.
