    Glucosamine HCL versus Sulfate

Any big reason to take one over the other? A lot of places sell sulfate...
Any disadvatages of one over the other? Been reading some good stuff about the HCL version.

    Glucosamine HCL Versus Glucosamine Sulfate

FROM CRAB SHELL) The main action of glucosamine in the human body, is to stimulate the synthesis of cartilage in joints. Also, by inhibiting the degradation of cartilage the effect can be relief from the pain and inflammation around joints that is associated with osteoarthritis. D-Glucosamine HCL is a small molecule comprised of a sugar molecule (glucose), an amino group and a hydrochloride group. D-Glucosamine HCL contains 98% glucosamine, whereas Glucosamine Sulfate contains 75% glucosamine. D-Glucosamine HCL and Glucosamine Sulfate behave similarly in the gastrointestinal environment to liberate the active glucosamine compound for absorption without causing gastric upset. A reduced consumption of red meat, refined sugar, alcohol and caffeine, lowering cholesterol levels and maintaining a light exercise program will also be beneficial while on this treatment. This product is especially good for those with high blood pressure, on salt or potassium restricted diets or those having adverse reactions to sulfate.

i was looking at this stuff yesterday, and interestingly on the sulfate issue, the sulfate packaging generally included a 'scientifically proven' or similar advertising line, whereas none of the HCL products (4 or 5 of) that i looked at had anything similar.
