37 and Supplements

I was just curious as to what supplements you older guys out there are taking to bulk up or lose that extra weight?

I am still debating on taking Creatine. However, I've came across some posts on other web sites that had some negative feedback on this particular supplement. I won't get into any particulars but enough to have me worried about taking it.

What else could I take to bulk up other than Protein powder, something that has been in the market for a long time? Maybe as far back as the Arnold days or before. I'd like to know what supps the older generation bodybuilders were taking.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your responses.

I am not 37 but can tell you that you want find many things safer than whey and creatine to add some moderate strength.I don't know what you were told but I suppose there is a slight risk with any supp,or anything you eat for that mattrer.I would still consider creatine one of my better options though.

Creatine is highly studied....search out pubmed journals for your own interest. When taken in reasonable quantities and your water intake is adequate, it's pretty safe.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition or more specific a kidney condition you should consult with a doc.

It's been said before but diet is your best option. Supps are further down the list of importance and will offer no benefit if your diet isn't in order.

I'm not 37. I am 33 though and here's what I'm currently taking.

Multivitamin
Whey Protein (Post Work Out, sometimes at breakfast)
Muscle Milk (Pre Work Out), but I am dropping that and going to try creatine for awhile.
