Whey and weight gain

    Whey and weight gain

    I had put up a question a lil bit back I was using weight gainer and was informed to use Whey and some other ingreidents to make a high calorie shake .

    My question is should I use any particular kind of Whey or any whey should work ?

    It shouldn't matter. I think most of them are pretty close as far as nutritional values.

    are you asking about the brand of whey or isolate vs. concentrate?

    I guess I lil bit of everything what ever would be better to pick up weight

    whey concentrate is fine if you arent lactose intolerant, if you are, then isolate.

    as for adding weight to that, the majority of weight gainers dump a load of malto into it and call it a day. instead add oats, you can throw them in a blender and toss them in. coconut oil is also a good addition. there are a ton of good additions, honey, palatinose, fruit, yogurt. see what you can make, and that will taste good.

    Peanut butter and whole milk! That will add some calories.

    Also, whey is NOT the best form of protein (unless you are talking post workout). You are much better off with a blended protein (we happen to make one, but we make one because it is important, not the other way around).

    You can get protien cheap,try Optium's 100% whey in the five pound containers.You can also get it in bulk at allthewhey.com.Any protien should suffice for what you are trying to achieve so save your money.
