If your training and diet are in order than you can add a few supps...I always recommend a good protein powder first. A whey isolate that you can add to your meals and after training would be great. After that you have creatine. Just buy plain creatine monohydrate and add it to grape juice. Finally, some glutamine for before and after training is excellent.

These are the best things for you now. Oh, and you can add a good multivitamin/mineral supplement too.

Sorry for jumping in, but what may work best for gopo may or may not work as well for u. Currently I’m using Optimum 100% whey which comes in handy for the people under a budget, 5lb for $26. If u want to try supplementing with cratine I would recommend u stick to Creapure which is tested free of impurities. U can get 600g of creatine from Prolab for $15, relatively inexpensive. I get those supplements from www.dpsnutrition.com , I have not found any other place with a better price.

What Kata says is true...sometimes things that work for one person, may noy work as well for another. However, he simply mentioned the same things as I did, but specific brands. Also, I have been training clients right about your age for the last 10 years now, so I have a good idea what works for guys/gals your age.

Anyway, the creatine that Kata mentioned is quite good...Pro Labs brand. Other good brands are from Twinlab, Sportpharma, EAS, Champion, AST, Met Rx, etc.

For whey protein, Optimum as Kata mentioned is very good, as is brands from the above companies. Isopure is also good from Nature's Best. Then there is Labrada, Cytodyne Technologies, GEN, and others.

My favorite glutamine is AST's GL-3...but any powdered gluatmine from the above companies will be fine.

You just need to stick to the MAJOR brands for the best quality.

GNC is high. If there is another supp store in your area check their prices first.

The supplements I suggested will work, yes. As far as dosages...

-protein...you need at least 1 gram of protein per lb of bodyweight per day...so figure out how much you get from food, and add the appropriate amount of powder to hit your number. (definitely take in about 30-40 grams of whey after training)

-creatine...take 10 grams per day for about 2 weeks, then drop to 5 grams after that

-glutamine...take 5 grams 30 minutes before training, and 5 grams immediately after training

With that, you can figure out how long each supp will last.

Little Frank. You are 145lbs and you don't even tell us about your diet and are already worried about supplements. Come on guys tell this guy to eat a shit load of food first then worry about supplements. I'd say only buy two things when your diet is 100%, protein powder and a good multi-vitamin mineral. When I was 15 I also thought supplements were some kind of magical thing, the only thing that works is good training and good diet.

Franky oh Franky… Order your supplements online man, u WILL save a lot of money on the long run, with that extra money take ur g/f to watch a movie or something man. Hey and don’t rely on supplements nothing out there can substitute REAL food. I will say it over and over again GNC is a rip offff. If u want to go run and get ur supplements of GNC go on. Everybody just trying to help.

Gopro did u forget or don’t u know I’m just about as old as he is? Just a year older. I have no doubt u know what and what does not work for most. I mentioned the brand, b/c I know as a teen money can get kind of tight buying food and supplements.

I didn't know you are that young! Anyway, yes, I was once there myself...a teenager trying to scrape up enough money for supps. Looking for bargains is a good idea, but only if you still stick with major brands...there are alot of ripoffs out there!

Too bad L Frank can't order online, as it would definitely save him cash!
