    Amino acids=Protein more broken down

I got VW brand, and they taste totally nasty, but slurping down a couple tablespoons is better than chuggin' a shake.

A friend of mine swore by amino acid pills but I think for the price you might as well buy protein powder.

I already use protein powder but I was told that if you take an amino pill just before the protein shake, the protein shake works alot better as your body absorbs and uses the protein better or something like that.

That's interesting. I wonder if the extra absorbtion is just the amino's or really the protein powder.

I'm not sure but I think that the aminos help your body break down the protein and this is why it is absorbed better.
