how long to take ephedra for?

I recently took some ephedra (combined with caffeine - it was a fat burner I bought at a nutrition store here) and noticed a huge difference in my workouts. I'm just wondering though, how long can you safely take this (period of time) if I was only taking one pill a day? Is it best to take it for a while, come off it and then take it again if I was soley using it for energy purposes.

And how fast would your body adapt to it? or does it?

Finally would I be better off taking it every other day or every 3 days maybe rather than everyday? (again my main reason for using it is energy not fat loss, although if I lost a little fat out of using it that would be fine obviously, it's just not my biggest concern)

If I were you I would be avoiding stimulants. They can make you dependant on them for workouts. Then when you don't take them you will not feel like being at the gym...you will not feel as strong or like you can endure as much. I would say find a way to mentally get yourself going without the use of a stimulant. Like get some headphones with good music that gets you pumped.

My thoughts exactly - After my lecture from my doc about how ephedra can seriously damage your heart, I tend to go with the natural supps

Excuse me, but I really don't want to die that early
