    Need Help..

Hi All.. it's been a while since I worked out on regular basis.

I am about 41 and in not to good of shape..I am 25 to 30 pounds over weight. I am working on my diet and walking 3 miles a day here at work indoor track.. So I think I will drop this the weight here next 4 to 6 weeks. I really just want to get i shape with some gain in my arms, legs, ect.. Nothing real drastic.. I am slowly starting out and adding some every workout.. I have both machines and free weights 3 times a week M/W/F

I am using a multi vitamin right now and will re-start these items here over the next few weeks.. ON Whey.. BSN Noexplode and CellMass

    any suggestions

    Thanks in advance..

If you are looking just to gain "some size in the arms and legs", I wouldn't waste your $ on the supplements. Try eating more protien, and increasing the intensity of your lifting sessions (more weight). Stick with the free weights, and do your research on how to meet your goals. The only supplements I really would recommend to you are multivitamins, and whey protein pre and post workout.

Save the other supplements for the guys looking to see big drastic gains.

Also, I wouldnt recommend trying to lose 25-30 lbs in 4-6 weeks, 10-12 weeks should be a more reasonable goal. Lose it slow and steady, and you'll keep it off.

Kid.. last year worked out for most part of the year.. and Mono just didn't respond. I am going to drop the CellMass even though I still have some left.. I will order some IM CEE. El I understand.. 4 to 6 weeks is a little to much to ask for. I have averaged 3.5 lbs the past 2 weeks without trying real hard. that may be too much. I would love to get bigger arms and chest.. I still have 2 tubs of noxplode so I will see what that does for me.. I think a diet of Oats, yogart, egg whites, tuna along with Whey will be the ticket. You agree?

    Thanks to both of you..

I also doing flax seed and omega 3.. what benifits do these give me.. and how much of each should I take if anyone knows.

Keep in mind that your weight loss will slow after the first few weeks. And if your taking Cell Mass or any other creatine your going to gain a little weight as well, thats the purpose of cratine. It will help with the strength and adding a little size but don't be disappointed when you step on the scale.

You say you haven't worked out in a while, and it sounds like you have plenty to ground to cover where you don't need some of the extravagant supplements you mention. I have a pretty conservative view - I would not recommend to any of my friends who started exercising that they bother trying creatine until they've been working out for a year, and I'd be more leary of their using noexplode. Vitamins and protein though are another story, those I'd feel good about recommending.

I'm not critical of the products, just that to me your body needs time to acclimate to a regular routine, it needs to learn the excercise patterns, stengthen tendons, etc.. In the beginning I'd want them to stick to the basics. Just a thought for what its worth.

Avoid the injuries that come from over-training or from increasing your weight too quickly. That was my biggest issue when I did my re-start. Even after I had been back at it I still ended up tearing a bicep from over-training that resulted in almost eight months of basically having to lay off. That soooo sucked.

Post details about your diet, schedule, and goals so people can work with you from a more informed position. The gurus here will have no idea what to advise you on without knowing the rest of your diet. From there you can design a routine and dial it in. Screw the weight stress ... that will become a non-issue as your new routine becomes a part of your life. You will re-sculpt your body as the months go by so the weight will redistribute itself as the workouts increase in intensity.

Lastly, get some rest. You cannot build if you don't allow your body the proper recovery time.

Good luck ... and don't ever stop again. I'm 47 now and feel great because of lifting. Picture yourself six years from now if you continue lifting and then keep that thought in your head. Use it when your lazy side comes out with reasons not to go lift that day ...

weight loss and muscle gain are slow, so dont be dscouraged. i you lose a pound a week, be happy. focus on diet (6-7 small meals a day) and your routine (cardio, compound lifts etc.) and you should see results.

suppements should only be looked at when the abve is covered. a good multi is necessay, as is lots of protein and fish oil pills. creatie mono is a good choice, if you go for other creatines, make sure they arent loaded with sugar. you do not need this while cutting.

once you are on the road there are several products that can help you lose weight:

fatburners w/ stims: scorch, basic cuts.
    fatburners w/o stims: melting point

dont look to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, that is a struggle with futility. once you lose the weight, then bulk up.good luck!
