Product Review: 8-Beta Anabol
Gopro gives it "two biceps up!"
Recently I got the opportunity to test out Epic's EEA/beta-alanine/high GI carb mixture, 8-Beta Anabol. I am a huge proponent of the need to properly supplement at the times surrounding the workout, as I feel this is the best opportunity we have to trigger and "feed" the anabolic machinery. For the last 4 weeks I wanted to try "feeding" myself DURING the workout, as well as before and after, and gauge the effects. I was somewhat concerned that the extra 35 grams of carbs from sugar would increase my bodyfat levels, and thus was tempted to reduce carbs from my post workout meal to make up the difference, but I decided against that. I wanted to see if my body would utilize those calories for muscle building, and shuttle the calories towards muscle cells and away from fat cells. First, let me say that the stuff tastes great and really goes down easy while training. It mixes very well from simply being shaked up with water. Second, I really notice a difference in my energy levels, especially during the second half of my workout. I always leave the gym feeling like I could keep training! Third, and here is the cool part...I gained 3 lbs of lean mass during these 4 weeks of testing this product, and my definition has not been disturbed one iota. I will continue to use this product throughout my contest prep, but will cut it in favor of a sugar free EEA powder in the last 4 weeks. Epic has a great product here in 8-Beta Anabol. It's nothing fancy, but it works! |

gopro do you use EAA's or similar in your PWO as well?
Im doing sugary carbs during workout, with EAA's like this product immediately PWO with my bulk shake, seeing gains, but I'm interested to see if you do them during and post, or just during. Think it would be worth bringing them into the workout to mimic this product? |
