EAA's - Pre and Post?

Using EAA's (essential amino acids) at the moment, sales rep recommended taking before and after the workout. Doing a carb+protein shake pre and post too. Lean. On a bulk. Going for lean mass. No other supps, just multis/EFAs etc.

Is this the correct timing for them? 4 weight sessions per week. Bugger all cardio. Worth taking on non-training days?

Sorry to jack the thread but what exactly is the purpose of adding carbs post workout? Scientifically speaking.

After almost 2 weeks... I am back and better than ever.

thanks nni - could I trouble you for the reasoning behind NOT having them post?

you most certainly could take them post, but it is more beneficial for you to have a protein shake. the studies i have read on eaa's show pre is the ideal time, and there are tons of studies saying take carbs + whey post. you most certainly could take it post though.
