Why do some supplements really make your libido sky rocket, while others supress it?

well, it depends on which supp?

we just came out with a Tribulus product that helps libido in both males and females: Tribulus Terrestris - Hormone Potentiator

Well I'm not looking to increase mine or anything.
Ephedrine for example, makes me a mink. Not that I want to be...but I don't understand why it does

could be that you are taxing your cns on ephedrine.

Well It might (assuming "makes me a mink" means heightens desire....still relevant if it means the opposite), since it stimulates the adrenals, brain and CNS. There's a limit to that though. Take ephedrine for too low without cycling off it could lead to adrenal exhaustion (and/or atrophy). The downside to this is libido will swing the other way (assuming it was high to start). Recovery takes a while too, so you need to use it wisely.

And just to make it clear, libido means sex drive right? Why would anyone want that decreased?

Dontstop, if it makes you feel any better, I've heard the term "like a mink" used the same way.
Also, I have noticed an increase in libido with ephedrine as well.

it is just pure Tribulus Terrestris (20% extract), 125 tab bottle, 1,000mg per tablet.

I'm pretty sure the term is "Like a Minx" as in Austin Powers "Shag Like a Minx" I know this is not the subject. Just my 2 cents. I noticed my sex drive increasing when I started working out regularly 3 years ago. I wish I started earlier..
