How many lbs or protein do you buy/purchase? A months supply? 3? 6?

i just bought 3 5lbs (2 ON and 1 Champ nutrition) jars but seeing these bad boys last for years, I'm thinking of buy 5 more 5lb jars so I can have 40lbs of protein powders for atleast a few months.

What are your buying habits???

**I made a typo on the title. Should be "How many lbs OF protein. . . . "***y

I usually bulk up at once and use til it's gone. I buy 25 lbs of whey blend and 25 lbs of super mass 600 at a time, thats about $190. Lasts pretty long haven't timed but id say prob like 4-6 months.

Thats not a bad pace at all. It really depends on the serving size and how many protein grams you get per serving. The standard size 20-30 grams per serving would be about lasting a month, but high protein 40-55 grams could only last a few short weeks.

I only use 5lbs of protein a month, if that. I like to get most of my protein from food and use shakes when I need quick absorption or don't have the time to prepare food.

Currently 220. I'm dieting down for a show. Low carb so I keep the protein high.

uhhh junior, you need to read a little further; I said I use whey, but I also get most of my protein from whole food sources. Now, where the hell did I say any of what you just spoke?!

Well I used math. You indicated that you go thru 20 lbs per month. So - 80 servings per 5lbs, 23 gr per serving is 1840grs (for 5lbs or whey). Times 4 (20lbs divided by 5lbs) is 7360grs of protien for 20lbs of whey. 7360grs divided by 30 days is 245.3gr per day of protien from whey. I rounded up and said almost 250grs. So you get 78% of your daily protien from whey (245/315). In other words, you get 22% of your protien from solid food.

Now I am going out on a limb here and assuming that your statements are true - that you go thru 20lbs of whey per month and you consume 315gr of protien per day. Do you want to revise your statements? Are my assumptions incorrect?

Now, I'm going out on a limb here, but your dog is ugly-did someone kick it in its snout? It might be the ugliest fucking thing i ever saw.
