Post w/o shake while carb cycling
Howdy all,
I typically haven't had post workout shakes while cutting before, but believe this should be added to the routine even if on a cut (correct me if I'm wrong here). I've read in a couple of places that a post workout shake should also include a ratio of 2:1 fast acting carbs vs. protein? This is fine on some of my days, however other days (low/no carb days) this won't work. I've started with just 35g whey and 5g glutamine in water as a post workout shake today. Is this OK? Should the shake be nixed and simply wait for my usual meal 1 hr after workout, or should something be added into the mix? Thanks! |

pick up some glycine and substitute that for your carbs post workout. not a fan of glutamine, and it isn't a proper substitute for carbs. |

Haven't found much on Glycine but i've added it to my whey while low carbing and found it to be very good. Very cheap to.
