Personally ive been taking creatine on and off for years, and I off cycle maybe 5 times a year for a month or less. Ive heard that taking creatine consistantly for long periods of time meaning half a year or so could hinder the natural production of creatine in your body, but im not sure of that. But like pfunk said what the f... creatine is a usefull tool and you need to elaborate more on what you mean and when uve taking creatine and what you have takin.

Sounds like he is just asking if periodic breaks from creatine is beneficial or even necessary.

Having recently started taking creatine I'm curious to. How long do you guys use it for before taking a rest, or do you simply take it perpetually?

ye i usually take breaks of 4-5 weeks after using it for about 7 or 8 weeks or so. but like obz said... does taking it consistently without breaks harm anything?

havent heard or had a problem with taking it for long periods of time at all. Most of the time when I stop taking creatine its to cut up a bit.
