Green Tea

I'm sure most of you have all heard of the supposed thermogenic and cancer fighting benefits of green tea by now.....I have tried it on two different occasions and it turned my guts inside out! I could'nt get too far from the toilet the day after. I used something call "Dieter's Green Tea" It had some other herbs in addition to green tea....maybe that's what did it. Before I go buy a different brand, has anyone used regular green tea and found it worthwhile?

This is a common/normal effect, until your body gets used to it. You need to ease your way in. Make a light brew the first day and progressively make it stronger. I am not sure how much "effect" you will get though.

I've used regular green tea w/o any problems...the fact yours said 'dieters' leads me to believe it was meant to give a laxative/diuretic effect for dropping w8. Just get a regular brand of green tea and you should be fine.

I have a cup everyday, and other than increased energy from the caffeine, I don't notice any ill effects.

Thanx for the tips! However, I don't plan on giving up caffeiene as I am a coffee junkie. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs so I guess it's o.k. to have one crutch.

I am a 'former' coffee junkie, but have been down to 1-3 cups a day for the last 2 weeks (its a start!).

I have never been a big fan of tea, but I'm coming around too it, especially if its 'better' for you than coffee, and coffee in large amounts I dont think anyone will honestly beileve is good for you, men or most especally women.
